Psychiatric Care & Medication Management
Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management
Psychiatric evaluation is designed to understand symptoms,
history, functioning, current concerns, and other factors that may
be affecting mental health. This clinical picture helps guide
diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and individualized care planning.
When medication is clinically appropriate, ongoing medication
management includes follow-up appointments to assess therapeutic
response, review potential side effects or adverse reactions, and
make treatment adjustments when needed.
Mental health questionnaires may be requested as part of initial
and ongoing care. Laboratory or other diagnostic testing may be
recommended when clinically indicated based on symptoms, medical
history, medications, or treatment needs.
When clinically appropriate, NABH medication management providers
partner with GeneSight to offer pharmacogenomic testing. GeneSight
analyzes certain genetic variations that may provide additional
information to help inform medication selection and treatment
decisions.
